Today ARC is located in a 85,000 square foot facility,
housing 80 employees and 4 million dollars in equipment. The company’s projected
revenue for 2004 is 16 million dollars. ARC leads the fastener industry by
utilizing the most cutting edge technology. ARC has been featured in trade
magazines such as, Fastener Technology and Packaging World, for its state of the
art equipment and procedures.
Joseph’s daughter, Shayne, joins him in the daily operation of the company.
Although the company operates on a more corporate level, the company still
maintains a family environment. The company offers an education program, where
all employees are encouraged to better their education. The company reimburses
the employees for all of their tuition costs and book fees. The employees also
enjoy full Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance benefits, as well as a retirement
program. ARC also works with the city and county, supplying jobs to the less
fortunate. The philosophy of the company is that the most valuable assets are
its employees.
Today, ARC is a complete logistical supply house, supplying such products as
injected molding items, fasteners, electrical components, metal stampings,
forgings, castings, tools and much more. ARC remains committed to forming
partnerships with its customers. Today’s inventory management programs are much
more sophisticated from the original programs, set in 1990. ARC utilizes "lean
manufacturing” practices developing supply chain solutions. "Lean Manufacturing”
consists of ARC visiting a customer’s location, mapping the process in current
use and working together with the customer to develop the most cost effective
method of delivering product into a customer’s facility. Some of the inventory
solutions may consist of: On sight employees issuing product to a production
floor, Consignment inventory, Kitted material, Kan Ban, Bin stocking, Ready
Packs, for point of use application, Point of Use stocking methods … and many
more.
Inventory programs are truly tailored to the customers needs. In today’s
competitive market ARC is able to help its customers become more competitive,
and grow their bottom line, by management of its "C" class items. ARC also
maintains a truck fleet consisting of five delivery trucks, that deliver
products, on a daily basis, to customers.
With ARC ’s growth came the ability to purchase in large volumes. ARC has set up
strategic alliances with manufacturers all over the world. This has allowed ARC
to pass on some of the most competitive material cost in the nation, to its
customers. ARC houses approximately 5 million pounds of fasteners, and related
products, making it one of the largest in its industry. ARC has made a
commitment to its employees, customers and community to always be ready and able
to help find the creative answers to the most difficult questions.
